After a week of exploration across Japan's most vibrant creative hubs, we've finally returned—and we can't wait to share what we've discovered. This buying trip has yielded an exceptional collection that we're thrilled to bring to our discerning community.
Our journey began at the legendary Mashiko pottery fair, an experience that exceeded our already high expectations. The sheer scale of this gathering of ceramicists was breathtaking—hundreds of artisans showcasing generations of craftsmanship under one sky. Walking through the fairgrounds, we found ourselves surrounded by an overwhelming array of styles, from traditional mingei folk pottery to contemporary interpretations that push the boundaries of the medium.
What struck us most was not just the diversity of works but the meticulous attention to detail evident in each piece. We spent days carefully selecting items that embody both timeless Japanese aesthetic principles and functional elegance for the modern home. The master potters we connected with shared stories of techniques passed down through families for centuries—knowledge that lives on in every curve and glaze of their creations.
From Mashiko, our quest took us through the electric energy of Tokyo and Osaka's urban landscapes. Here, we dove deep into the world of Japanese collectibles and vintage culture. Navigating hidden backstreet shops filled with rare Godzilla figures, pristine Ultraman memorabilia, and charming Kewpie collections became our daily routine.
We were particularly fortunate to uncover several limited-edition Medicom pieces that rarely appear on the international market. For streetwear enthusiasts, we secured a remarkable selection of vintage Supreme, Palace, and HUF items—each piece representing a specific moment in street culture history.
